I'm feeling the creative itch again after a break from recording. Oddly enough, the less I worked on my stuff the more I became interested in
new music.Guess I will always be a fan!
So Todd and I {Todd Ensminger,friend, amazing producer/musician and owner of Bedroom Studios} will finish up the mastering on our 14 song project and get some music out into the world this spring!

Puyallup, Washington's Regan Lane combines power pop influences from various avenues into music that is both catchy and edgy. The title track can make you think of everyone from Bowie to Iggy Pop to Alice Cooper. “Play the Part” has a more Brit Pop vibe. “Time Flies” is a twisted blues ballad showcasing Regan's avant garde but quite stunning vocal abilities. Excellent songwriting both lyrically and musically, Regan uses his roots to break molds with this very entertaining effort.

A Reason To Be
In actuality, I have stumbled the majority of my life trying to find
out who I am and why or what I’m supposed to do while I’m here.
For most of my years on this planet it was all about me,
it was your fault if I failed or got caught
and if I had to help you on your terms it was an in intrusion
into my opiate laden world of peacefulness.
So as I was driving my 10 year old daughter Moyra home
to one of my five best friends, my ex and her mom Wyndi,
{I’m sure that sounds weird enough in this day and age!}
after a spring break full of bike rides,
trips to the zoo and history museum,
a Disney 3D movie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD’s
and lunch with Moyra’s second mom and my best adult friend
and partner on this leg of the journey, my wife Melanie
I squeezed my daughters hand as she dozed
that car doze that we’ve all done as kids
cause it feels so good
and as Radio Disney murmured quietly in the background
I came to the crystal clear realization
that it’s all come to this and this is it.
Being with and doing for my daughter and my wife
leads to a sense of accomplishment and peace
that I have never felt.
To do for someone and not feel as if it’s a chore
yet know in the core of your being
that it’s the only real gift
Is a miracle in itself.
So without getting all Jesus on anyone,
I have found for today a reason to be.
It’s been coming for awhile
and everything I’ve ever done has led to it.
A Reason To Be.
I like it.
Feels good.
